EDULINK Phase 2 Project | Knowledge Exchange & Award Ceremony
he EDULINK Phase 2 Project culminated in a two-day event at the Okatjikona Educational Centre in the picturesque Waterberg area, Otjozondjupa Region. The gathering brought together over 20 participants, including teachers, learners, and out-of-school youth, for a Knowledge Exchange and Award Ceremony marking the project’s closure.
Day one featured impactful presentations from participating schools, each showcasing creative and sustainable initiatives made possible through the project’s support—from flourishing school gardens to innovative recycling efforts. These efforts demonstrated the remarkable dedication of learners and educators in using gardening and environmental practices as tools for empowerment and skill development.
The event was further enriched by an inspiring keynote address from Mr. Boyson Ngondo, Deputy Director of National Heritage and Culture Programmes, who emphasized the importance of education in sustainable development.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to outstanding schools in recognition of their achievements. Congratulations to all recipients for their hard work and commitment! 🎉📚
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Education and its regional directorate for their continued support, as well as to the management of Okatjikona Educational Centre for their warm hospitality. Most importantly, we commend all participating schools for their incredible efforts in driving meaningful change in their communities. 🌱👏
